Maryann Antenucci

Board Secretary

A junior‑year religion class service project first led Maryann Antenucci to volunteer as a teaching assistant in a CCD program for young people with Developmental Disabilities—an experience that sparked a lifelong commitment to serving individuals whose diagnoses make them, in society’s eyes, “different.”

From that moment forward, Maryann has dedicated her career to “finding another way” to educate, support, empower, and include people with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex support needs. Her professional journey spans public schools, private programs, community organizations, and family‑centered support agencies, always grounded in compassion, dignity, and practical problem‑solving.

Across more than three decades, Maryann has served in roles including:

  • Special Education Teacher — in both public and private school settings, supporting children and adults with diverse learning profiles

  • Personal Trainer for Special Populations — designing adaptive fitness programs that build confidence, mobility, and independence

  • Case Manager at The Arc of Monmouth — coordinating services, advocating for families, and navigating complex systems

  • Intake Coordinator for Supported Employment — helping individuals with disabilities access meaningful work and workplace inclusion

  • Assistant Director, Monmouth Family Support Organization — leading family‑driven support initiatives and strengthening community networks

Maryann’s work has always centered on one core belief: every person deserves access to environments that recognize their strengths, honor their humanity, and provide real pathways to belonging.

Her role as Board Secretary of Spectrum Tech Trade School, Village, and Training Center is a natural extension of that lifelong mission. She brings governance discipline, lived experience, and a deep understanding of family and community needs to the organization’s leadership. Maryann is honored to help build Spectrum Tech’s innovative model—one that will change the lives of young people by creating a neuroaffirming place to learn, work, grow, and thrive.
