Unlocking Potential with Divergence Decoded: A Consulting Firm That Champions Neurodiversity

In a world that often struggles to accommodate neurodivergent individuals, Divergence Decoded stands as a beacon of empowerment, education, and advocacy. Founded by Jaime A. Heidel and Katherine Lorelli, board members of Spectrum Tech Trade School, Village, and Training Center, this consulting firm is revolutionizing the way businesses, educators, and families approach neurodiversity.

What is Divergence Decoded?

Divergence Decoded is more than just a consulting firm—it’s a movement. Jaime and Katherine bring their expertise in neurodivergent communication, education, and advocacy to help organizations create inclusive environments that foster success for autistic individuals and those with other neurodivergent traits. Their approach is strength-based, meaning they focus on leveraging the unique abilities of neurodivergent individuals rather than forcing them to conform to neurotypical standards.

Meet the Founders

  • Jaime A. Heidel is a late-diagnosed autistic individual, an Autistic Communication Translator, writer, blogger, and consultant. She is the author of What Did I Do Wrong?, a guide to preventing traumatic misunderstandings between autistic individuals and their loved ones. Her work is dedicated to bridging the communication gap between neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals.

  • Katherine Lorelli is a Neurodivergent Mentor and Consultant with a background in Child Development and Family Relations. She has worked in special education and is a passionate advocate against harmful behavioral interventions. Through her consulting work, she provides implementable strategies for families to support their autistic loved ones without relying on ABA-based interventions.

Why Divergence Decoded Matters

Traditional education and workplace structures often fail to accommodate neurodivergent individuals, leading to misunderstandings, burnout, and lost potential. Divergence Decoded offers customized consulting services to help businesses, schools, and families understand and implement neurodiversity-friendly practices. Their work ensures that neurodivergent individuals are supported, valued, and given the tools to thrive.
