Academic Excellence & Transformative Journey in Vision Therapy

Dr. Lane graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Vermont, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. She began her career in healthcare, working in the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory at Fletcher Allen Healthcare, where she gained valuable expertise in medical diagnostics and laboratory science. However, she soon discovered her passion for optometry and neurorehabilitation, inspiring her to return to school to pursue the field.

She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO)—now part of Salus University—where she experienced a life-changing introduction to Optometric Vision Therapy, a discovery that shaped her clinical approach and professional mission. Recognizing the profound impact of vision therapy on cognition, motor coordination, and overall neurological function, Dr. Lane customized her externship experience to focus exclusively on Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation and Vision Therapy.

Seeking advanced training, she studied under leading doctors in California and New Jersey, mastering the complex art of developing visual skills and perception training. She later completed a Residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at the State University of New York College of Optometry in Manhattan, deepening her expertise in sensory-motor integration and functional visual therapy.
